Hands up who’s had a nice chilled out weekend! I have and it’s been lovely. The past week or so has been a bit of a struggle if I’m honest. The homeschooling, the working from home and a little man having numerous meltdowns have well and truly tired me out, I’m knackered! So with that rant over it’s onwards and upwards.
After the lockdowns, we are still catching up on our appointments here. I think everyone is in the same boat. I feel every week brings an appointment of some sort!
Double Jabbed
I had my second Jab last Sunday so Craig and I are both double jabbed now. I was so lucky not to have any side effects. I thought the sore arm was going to be a given as I have this even with the flu jab, but nothing at all. Really pleased with that, although I was looking forward to milking it a little bit.

Heart Check-Up
Craig had his heart check-up on Thursday. I’m always relieved when it’s done, more so than Craig. Everything went well and he is in good health. The transplant team are happy with him so we will keep on keeping on and be thankful to our donor as we always are, that we have this time together.
New Glasses
We’ve held off visiting the opticians for as long as we could during the pandemic but Jayden needs new glasses and so does Craig.
It’s been years since I have had to wear glasses. I wore them when I was younger to rectify a lazy eye (Jayden is the same). My eyesight improved and I no longer needed glasses throughout my adult years, but I feel that may change at the next check-up. I stare at a monitor screen for hours in the week with work and my eyes feel strained and sore some days.
Who knows, I might look more intelligent with glasses! Hehe.
How was your week?

That is great that you and Craig are both double jabbed. Hooray for having no side effects and for Craig’s heart check up going well.
I could do with going to the opticians. It’s been a few years since I had my eyes checked. x
Glad both you and Craig are double-jabbed now and that all went well with his heart check-up. I can imagine the relief on being told that all is well. Hope all goes well with your opticians appointments. I really need to get around to booking an eye appointment too! #WotW
Sounds like a busy week. Congratulations on receiving both shots; it’s such a relef. I understand the appointments – some months it seems it is all I do. Do have your eyes checked and take periodic rest from the screen. Looking at the laptop for too many hours messing up my vision too. Hope you have a great week with few problems. #MMBC
Some appointments are good ones and I’m glad you got away without any side effects from your jabs. I admit, all I had was a sore arm and a little tiredness. My eyes started to deteriorate as I got older, it was so weird for me as I’d always had 20/20 vision then suddenly everything started going blurry.
Same here ! Appointments are never ending
Yay to being doubled jabbed, that bit closer to normality x #mmbc
I was the same after my jabs. No reaction, and slightly miffed that I couldn’t put my feet up. Mostly mighty glad it didn’t hit me for six like some people. I’m glad Craig’s check up went well. Nice one to tick off the list. #wotw
I have my second jab on the 12th July, summer holidays have come around to quick this year
Great that you both have had 2 doses now, I have two and hubby is having his 2nd dose this week. I felt awful after the first jab (mostly the first night, so didn’t last too long) but felt pretty much nothing after the 2nd jab. Hubby felt absolutely nothing after his first, so I’m kind of hoping he’s feel something after his 2nd (to stop him going on about his superior immune system, lol). Also, really good to hear that your hubby’s heart check-up was all good <3
Oh and I too need an eye check, but I'm putting it off… x #MMBC
It’s great that you didn’t have any reactions to the jab. We didn’t get off so lightly here. We have been having lots of appointments here too. Glasses were the first thing I needed to give the postman a break from the the reminder letters he was having to deliver. So glad the heart appointment went well. I would be on the edge of my seat with that one too #WotW
