tastecard family dining out

As a family, we love to eat out. So we were super excited to have recently partnered up with tastecard for the ultimate dining discounts!
I had never really looked into discount dining cards before. I am a member of cashback sites and make sure that I always look if there is a discount code available before I make a larger purchase, I have loyalty cards for individual stores and restaurants but with that said, I didn’t realise that there was a discount card that covered many of our favourite restaurants.
Discounts with tastecard can be used at a myriad of different restaurants, from burgers to pizza and even coffee. You just pay £29.99 per year, which is about £2.50 per month, and typically save up to 50% off at partner restaurants.

Substantial Savings

There are impressive discounts to be had with tastecard. On average, you can save over £23 every time you dine out, and in addition to that, you can save £24 per pizza delivery and £1.20 off your favourite coffee. So just two cups of coffee each month covers the membership fee!

There are so many deals to snap up. Some of my favourite Birmingham restaurant deals are included. When we eat out with the kids, we always choose a more family-friendly chain, Burger King or Pizza Hut for example. When I visit these chains, I get 2 for 1 on the meal, which obviously saves me loads on a family of four!

Enhanced Dining Experiences

With savings on your side, you can comfortably explore different restaurants and broaden your culinary horizons, making dining out more exciting. I love the tastecard app which shows me nearby restaurants and illustrates the deals available. When I get the rare opportunity to eat out with Craig alone, I can choose a really nice restaurant that I may otherwise have thought would be too expensive. It’s great how tastecard has partnered up with loads of my local restaurants too, so it is not just large chains that you can save money at.

More than just food

Another cool benefit of tastecard is that it is so much more than just a dining card. The member benefits are colossal with discounts available at a whole host of retailers like AA and Hotels.com. Save on tickets to theme parks and attractions as well as discounted cinema tickets. The benefits of tastecard are really great for families and if you couple up a discounted day out along with a meal from one of the partner restaurants, the amount of money that you could save is really amazing.

Easy Accessibility and Cost-effectiveness

Obtaining a tastecard is a hassle-free process. As there is no physical card and it is based on an app, you can start accessing tastecard immediately because you don’t need to wait for the card to arrive through the post. Simply search tastecard in your app store, download the app then follow the prompts to register.

There are three membership options available. Yearly which offers the biggest savings and includes a £10 voucher! Monthly at £3.99 which is the most convenient and flexible and then there is a trial membership for just £1. So if you are still in doubt as to whether it really is going to save you money, this is definitely the option for you.

I think that tastecard is of tremendous value for families, especially with the current economic climate, everyone is trying to save as much money as possible while still being able to have a life and enjoy spending time as a family. The trial membership is a great deal allowing you to try before you buy and we’re looking forward to using more deals on our summer days out.

  1. I used to have a tastecard but I realise it mainly covers chain restaurants and we like to dine out in independent restaurants. For us thefork.co.uk is much better at giving out discounts for dining in independent restaurants and it’s without a subscription too
