Animated characters on the front cover including Pablo, a dinosaur, a gorilla and giraffes.

We really like the television series Pablo in our house, especially my youngest who is also autistic. Today we are sharing a brand new picture book – Pablo at the Zoo, and we have three copies to give away!

Pablo at the Zoo. Published by Penguin.

Pablo thinks differently!

Pablo is an autistic boy who sees the world in different ways.

Pablo and his book animal friends go to the zoo, but Noasaurus the dinosaur is sad because he can’t find his family.
Pablo helps him understand that your family are the people who care about you.

Pablo uses his ‘magic’ crayons to overcome everyday challenges. He brings the viewer into his ‘art world’ where he portrays how he bravely takes on real-world challenges, turning them into fantastic adventures, and communicates unfamiliar feelings by drawing these colourful characters into life. These characters are his imaginary friends, who each carry traits typical to those on the spectrum.

Pablo is the first animated TV series to star an autistic character and the first TV programme with an all-autistic core cast.

An animated picture of Pablo and the characters in the book.Pablo at the Zoo storybook is just fab. The illustrations are just beautiful and exactly as children will remember them from the TV series.

  1. I would give this lovely book to my daughters Heidi and Sadie, they love stories and a story about a zoo visit sounds right up their street.
