It’s been a few weeks since we last did a meal plan. We’ve had so much going on I just haven’t stayed on track. I’m now back to it and looking forward to being organised again.
Here is what our meal plan looks like for the next week.
Saturday – A Halloween tea. I’m putting on snacks for us all and we will most probably watch some movies together.
Sunday – Chicken and ham pie. Love our hearty dinners in the colder weather and this homemade pie tastes amazing.
Monday – Fajitas. A tasty no faff dinner.
Tuesday – Chicken kievs, sweet potato fries and corn on the cob.
Wednesday – Sausage casserole with mash. I’ve got a Colman’s mix in the cupboard so I will be using that for this dinner. It’s very moreish and the kids love it too.
Thursday – Jacket potatoes with tuna. My youngest will probably opt for cheese on his instead.
Friday – Bacon, squash and sweet potato stew. Another hearty dinner that goes down well.
What do you have planned?

It is hard to stay on track with meal planning when you have a lot going on.
We’re having the same tomorrow, party food and films. I think we’re going to have some sort of pie next week too. They’re needed in this weather x
I hope you enjoyed your chicken and ham pie :o) I made spinach lasagne for the first time last week which went down well – it was just frozen creamed spinach layered with lasagna and tomato sauce and topped with mozzarella. Really quick and easy!
I like meal planning, it saves time every evening wondering what you’re going to make and I like to do some preparation if I can as evenings are such a rush with after school clubs going on! The chicken and ham pie sounds lovely!
I love meal planning because it saves having to think about what you fancy. The biggest disagreements in our house come from what we want for dinner so I plan all of our meals now and do the food shopping based on that.
I should really get back into meal planning, your ideas look great!
Ooh, thank you for the ideas, I always struggle with new ideas and we end up having the same variety each week. This is fab! I haven’t had a pie for so long, so need to add that to my list. I hope you enjoyed your Halloween tea (that sort of tea is our favourite). This week we have:
Monday: Cottage Pie
Tuesday: Fish, Rice and Vegetables
Wednesday: Tea with Grandad (my son has football training on a Wednesday so we tie it in with a trip to see Grandad)
Thursday: A Bonfire night tea, which consists of hot dogs, jacket potatoes (with the a variety of fillings) and lots of snacky bits.
Friday: Chicken Gyro’s
Saturday: Lasagne & Garlic Bread
Sunday: Roast Dinner
Sounds like you’ve got some very delicious meals on the plan this week! I hope you’re keeping well and thanks for linking up.
