You can always find things to watch on TV if you pop by here regularly. My lot love nothing more than getting comfy on the sofa and binging on our favourite programmes. We shared lots of suggestions in last month’s what’s on TV and
here’s what we’ve been watching this month.
TV
Gardener’s World
Nothing new here. I watch this every week and if I don’t watch it when it airs, I pre-record it for later. I love how it brings a bit of hope amongst all of this madness we have all been dealing with.
Ross Kemp Living With Dementia
Such a poignant watch but it’s so crucial to raise awareness of such a cruel disease. Being a carer myself before having the boys, I can totally relate to how this illness not only strips the person down of their life and all of what they know but how it has such a detrimental effect on family, who have to watch their loved ones deteriorate right in front of their eyes. So so sad.
Netflix
White Lines
Absolutely brilliant! This is a British Spanish thriller series taking place in Ibiza. The plot keeps you guessing right until the very end. Just leaving this here for the ladies…..Boxer, played by Nuno Lopes. Oh my days! Roll on series 2.
Power
We have only just started watching this although it has been around for ages and there are 6 seasons for us to get through. We are on episode 5 at the moment and both Craig and I are loving it so far!
SKY
Emergence
I wasn’t sure what to make of this when it first started. It has taken The Walking Dead slot on FOX’ at 9pm Monday. It’s about a police chief who takes in a little girl after an accident who doesn’t seem to know anything about her family or who she is. Later down the line, the officer discovers that the little girl isn’t quite what she seems.
I’m really getting into this one.
Breeders
Stumbled across this one night. It is available On Demand and is a show about a young family that is stumbling through parenthood. Very funny and a lot of the situations are relatable for most of us parents.
Crawl
We really liked the look of this film and we were going to rent it on Sky Store. We waited until it was available on Sky cinema and I am glad that we didn’t pay for it to be honest. The film is OK, but the plot wears a little bit thin and it seems to drag on a bit.
Prime Video
Haunt
I love a good horror film. In this one, a group of friends go to a haunted house attraction over Halloween. It very soon turns gory though. Great if you enjoy a slasher and a lot better than most horror films we have watched recently.
M.O.M
Mothers Of Monsters is about a mom who is convinced her teenage son is a psychopathic killer. This had the potential to be a really good film but never quite gets going. I wouldn’t really recommend this one.
The Boat
I thought this one was going to be brilliant, but sadly not. A fisherman finds a yacht floating abandoned in the sea. He boards the boat and becomes trapped on there. Not quite what we were expecting and not as good as it could have been. It’s one of those that you get to the end and you think, ‘Is that it!?’.
