I have been using The Book People for as long as I can remember. The boys, to my delight, are total bookworms. They love nothing more than a new book to get stuck into. Jayden’s reading has come on leaps and bounds on our homeschooling journey. He is so confident and really absorbs what he is reading. Joben is enjoying his picture books still and enjoying having us read to him. As long as we have The Book People, our bookcase will never be dull and there will always be something exciting to read. Here are 3 reasons why we love their children’s books.
We Learn With Them
As we homeschool our children, we are always using different resources to incorporate into their learning. The Book People have so many educational books. The Oxford Reading Tree has helped us tremendously with their Biff, Chip and Kipper collection, offering phonics support and common words recognition. There are so many fun interactive books such as ‘Wildlife In Your Garden’ by Mike Dilger. We took our bug safari kit and used it alongside the book to discover what wildlife we had in our garden.
We are currently learning about Shakespeare and this beautifully illustrated box set is both fun and educational. Each book is broken down into bite-size chunks, which is fab for keeping younger readers engaged and not having to take in too much at a time. We all know if a kids book is too long winded they will only lose interest, fast!
They Have The Most Fun Books
Jayden is loving his Diary Of A Wimpy Kid collection. He is really into the funny books and often laughs out loud as he reads them. He loves following the character Greg, the American schoolboy, on his embarrassing and funny adventures. These box sets are a huge hit with Jayden. He also likes the David Walliams sets too.
We Are Never Short Of A Bedtime Story
Joben loves his picture books! He makes a fuss of each and every one that he receives. I have always got the boys bedtime books from The Book People. I love the huge choice of books that they have to offer and how you can buy bundles such as this lovely snuggle up stories bag full of fun bedtime tales. Just the thing to wind down to after a fun packed day.

Hi Jayne, I used to use The Book People all the time when the children were younger as the books are fantastically priced and they posted to Greece for a reasonable price. I bought my daughter twenty Charles Dickens books for a steal. And as much as I love my Kindle you can’t beat seeing a child reading a good ‘real’ book. It’s a escapism at it’s best.
