It’s no secret that we love crafts, we can often be found at the kitchen table with the craft boxes out and making something random. We have recently been doing a lot of origami, so over the next few weeks I will be popping some fun bookmark designs on for you to have a go at. This week we have………
Kids Origami Unicorn Bookmark
1 Start off by cutting an A4 sheet of paper in half. Then fold as per image and cut off the excess paper.
2 Now folding the opposite way to give you four folds.
3 Now bring the bottom right corner up to the top point and fold.
4 Repeat with the bottom left corner
5 Slightly open up the folds you have just made and take the top point and fold down level with the bottom edge. This fold will be the base to tuck in the other corners as follows.
6 Bring the bottom right corner up and tuck behind as shown.
7 Repeat with bottom left corner.
8 Turn around as per image 8.
9 Draw an outline of your unicorn head and then cut it out.
10 Decorate your bookmark! I used a sharpie pen for the eyes and mouth, a piece of multi coloured paper for the mane, but you could colour it in if you prefer. Lastly I cut out out a horn shape and coloured in with a gold marker.
There you have it, one colourful unicorn corner bookmark fit for a bookworm!
Is this something your little ones would like?
