I love nothing more than spending time in the garden. Not just gardening itself but just sitting back and enjoying the colourful blooms and shrubs. It is also my quiet haven when I want to escape the madness of our house! We need to replace a few garden accessories this year and I also have some new items on my wishlist that I would love for the garden this summer.
A Rattan Furniture Set
We have a little round table with fold-able chairs and it has had its fair amount of wear now. The chairs are unstable and have never really been that comfortable. This year we really want a rattan garden set, ideally a sofa with a couple of chairs. They look so comfy and would be great for when we have BBQ’s and get together’s round ours.
A Parasol
The parasol that we have now is part of a set. It has had lots of use and now the canvas is becoming a little faded and coming away from the spokes in places. I really want a larger sized parasol like the ones from Solero Parasols. They look so elegant and are so much easier to position to block the suns harmful rays from our family, especially the boys.
FirePit
When we have a get together during the summer months we love to spend the evening outside. So often as we chat away, the temperature drops. To combat this we would love a fire pit that we could have glowing away. The kids could even toast marshmallows on it.
BBQ
Our BBQ is getting a little tired now and it would be great to upgrade it to a more modern one. We love the authenticity of a charcoal fired BBQ and the taste of the food is amazing. Although gas BBQ’s are so much more convenient, I just feel like it is a bit of a cop-out. I’d like one with some storage underneath as well as shelves for serving food from.
Bar
As much as my husband would love a bar in the garden, I know that if I was to let him, we would end up with something the size of JD Wetherspoons! It would be nice to have a small cooler bar though that we could store drinks in during the warmer months. It would also save time deciding whose turn it is to get the drinks!

I love to spend time in the garden in summer. A nice table and chair set and parasol is a must. A nice gazebo or summer house would be nice, I’ll have to keep dreaming lol.

I would love a garden like that too. I have a small balcony though, so I have to keep it small. Luckily we have a condo pool that we all share so that is a nice place to hang out. #MMBC
We are in the process of revamping our garden ready for the summer. At the moment, it looks like a building site but fingers-crossed, in a couple of weeks it will be perfect! It is good to get some ideas for our project! Having a shaded place for the family to sit down and relax is important.

l love the Rattan set its on our to do list to get one. Lets hope we get some more lovely weather to get in the garden
I haven’t got a parasol but would consider one as I need lots of shade.
I really wish I had a back yard so that I could have a fire pit and barbeque. Plus the sitting outside and enjoying the wonderful nature around me with a hot cup of coffee or iced tea would be so relaxing for me 🙂 Thanks so much for hosting #MMBC
We are also updating our garden, we have just had new decking put down and desperately need new furniture to do it justice
I love garden accessories but lack the storage space to hide everything away in when it’s winter, so I guess my favourite accessory could be a shed? 🙂
yes we need to get garden furniture too – ours are a mismatch of two sets!!
I like to make the best use of the summer months by getting oit in the garden as much as I can and it is a real pleasure to be able to eat outside as well!
