A tv, popcorn and remote control. What we've been watching this month on TV.

We love sharing a round-up of our favourite tv programmes each month. It’s rubbish when you can’t find something good to watch isn’t it!? Hopefully, you will get some ideas from our list, whether it is on Netflix, Sky or Prime Video, I’m sure there will be something worth a watch!

The Handmaid’s Tale

Love this! I have been pretty much hooked on this series right from the first episode. I didn’t think much was going on the start of season 3 and was a little disappointed, but things are really starting to get going now over the course of the last couple of episodes.

Chernobyl

This miniseries is one of the best things I’ve watched in a long while. It shows the tragic disaster of Chernobyl from many perspectives. The workers are at the mercy of their boss who totally denies the severity of the explosion of reactor 4, putting them all at risk of certain death. It really does open your eyes as to what really happened and how it was dealt with. Very gripping but quite sad at the same time.

Bad Blood

We are about halfway through this series. I instantly recognised one of my favourite Sons of Anarchy actors in this (Kim Coates) and of course Anthony LaPaglia who you may have seen in Riviera.  If you like your crime drama then you will most probably enjoy this mafia based series. I don’t really want to give too much away but there are a lot of twists in the story that I was definitely not expecting!

Movies We’ve Watched

The Meg

A bit of a fun modern version of Jaws I think, only with a much bigger predator! A group of scientists exploring Marianas Trench discover the Megladon.  Jason Statham plays the main part, not that this amazingly fit actor influenced my decision to watch it………moving on!

Night School

I think Kevin Hart is bloody hilarious so I enjoy watching all of his movies. Kevin plays a guy called Teddy who didn’t do so well at school. As he gets older he gets in a situation where he needs a certain qualification for a job to keep up his rich appearance to his wealthy other half. This sees him going back to night school. Teddy discovers an old school acquaintance (that he bullied) is now the headteacher! And there are plenty more fun and frolics along the way!
This gave us a bit of a giggle as I knew it would.
