Hello everyone and welcome to another #MMBC and the first one of August! I really do feel that the summer has been shortlived this year, it’s been an odd one for sure.
I hope you all had a lovely week last week and that you are safe and well. It’s been super busy here the past few weeks. We always get a steady flow of narrowboats passing, the majority are live on boaters and some we have become great friends with. But with the holidays upon us, there are lots of rental boaters coming through too. It’s nice to see that most are being sensible and keeping their distance on the towpaths, although I think some folk need to remember that the virus has far from gone.

I live next to a canal too, but there is a thick bank of huge trees dividing us so we can’t actually see it. We can hear the boats go past, and when I could walk I’d take the kids down to the path, or the bridge to watch them. It was always lovely to wave to people going past. I do miss those days. When the kids were in primary school we could avoid all the roads and walk along the canal path to school. Thanks for hosting #mmbc

I totally agree this summer is odd. I wish the virus were gone indeed, but it isn’t, sadly.
I can’t believe we’re in August already. I thought the lockdown would make the year go slower, but apparently it hasn’t. Great post; I love the colour of the flowers in the hanging basket.
