Looking for fun autumn suncatcher crafts for kids? This fab fall suncatcher kit is a lovely activity that you can do at home with the children. You only need a handful of supplies and they are super simple to make too! We have made loads already, I think the front of our house will look more like a church this autumn, what with all of the pretty stained-glass patterned suncatchers!
We hope you enjoy this craft as much as we do.
What you will need –
- Contact paper (sticky back plastic).
- Tissue paper
- Card template
- Glue dots/Blu Tack
- Scissors
Once you have your template ready, cut a piece of contact paper that is slightly larger than the template. Then stick your template to the contact paper. You now have a sticky base to adhere your tissue paper to.
Let the kids get creative until the whole template is covered in a beautiful stained-glass effect. You could also use different shades of oranges and yellows for a real autumnal feel.
Using scissors, trim off any excess contact paper that surrounds the template, and hang up the autumn suncatcher in one of your windows.

We love doing these for halloween, we make stain glass windows, so we make a frame out of black card then chose some spooky shapes to stick on then cover with the sweet wrappers from Quality Street, its really effective.
