Morning, and welcome to this week’s #MMBC. I hope you’ve all had a lovely weekend.
I don’t know about you, but we’ve pretty much been living in the kids’ pool for the last week! We’ve been getting in first thing in the morning before the sun turns absolutely scorchio, and then hopping back in again later in the evening once it’s cooled down a bit. The kids have loved it, and I have to admit, it’s been the best way to survive the heatwave! I was a little worried about how Craig would cope with the temperatures reaching 35–36°C, but thankfully, he wasn’t too bad, considering.
I know a lot of us here live in really hot climates, so high temperatures come naturally. But we’re a little bit rubbish at coping with it over here. Our highly insulated houses definitely need AC! By bedtime, modesty goes completely out the window. Every available body part is strategically dangled out from under the duvet, desperately trying to cool down. And if that fails… you’ll probably find me starfishing on the cool quarry-tiled kitchen floor by midnight!
Anyway, enough of me babbling on. Grab a cuppa (or something ice cold if you’re still melting!), have a catch-up with everyone linking up this week. I can’t wait to see what you’ve all been up to.
Also, happy 4th July to our US friends on Saturday!
Features of the Week
Anne shared her family’s trip to Disneyland Paris. It’s somewhere we’ve wanted to visit for ages, so it was lovely following along with their trip on the Eurostar and seeing all the fun rides and parades. How fun!
Ruth shared her day trip from Osaka to Kyoto, and what a beautiful place. I loved the bamboo forest and all the stunning temples and gardens. What an amazing place to explore.
Have a lovely week, everyone. x

I don’t handle summer very well. Super grateful for having AC. Pool really is a great to way stay cool during those heatwave days. I do love to swim and hope to get a pool here one day. So glad to hear that Craig is coping well. Take care!!

I heard it has been very hot in most of Europe! Sadly, the heat dry conditions are causing many wildfires in the western part of the US while the eatern areas are having tornadoes and floods. Hope more normal weather returns soon! Have a very Happy month of July!
Love the way you are coping with the hot weather! It’s time to dump the duvet. I put mine away every summer and just sleep with the cover. Glad to hear that Craig is managing too xx
