This autumnal leaf collage craft is one that I did with Jayden quite some time ago, but it’s such a lovely craft to do with kids, I thought I’d share it here again.
Going on a scavenger hunt in the woods is the ideal opportunity to collect some autumnal bits for crafts like these and that’s just what we did.

Our Autumn Leaf Collage
After we had sourced all of our craft bits from the woods, I took a photograph of Jayden whilst he did a kicking pose. I then enlarged the picture of him so his body fit an A4 page. I printed this off and cut it out.
We stuck 4 sheets of A4 card together as we didn’t have any A3 card to hand at the time.
Jayden stuck down his paper self! And started sticking on his leaves with PVA glue.

Why we love children’s crafts like this leaf collage
- Fab for developing fine motor skills
- Encourages creativity
- Learns little ones how to repurpose and recycle materials
- Educational. Kids can have fun identifying which trees the leaves belong to.
Once finished, leave to dry and voila! One fun personalised leaf collage.

It doesn’t cost hardly anything to make and the kids can have fun sourcing their crafty bits outside.
Is this something your little one/s would enjoy? Have you done any autumnal activities??

We did an autumn collage this week as well, although yours looks a lot tidier than our creations lol! I love having the pic of your boy on the page, that is a great idea xxx
Excellent! My youngest wants to make collages out of everything from sweetie wrappers to leaves. I think it’s a great talent to pick something up and know how to make something creative out of it.
This is such a cute craft. We will definitely be giving this ago
What a great activity! It sounds like fun and it’s also great for getting creative juices flowing. I think I’ll have to give this a go.

What a great idea, I’d have loved to have done this with my kids when they were younger. I have to admit, going out and collecting fallen leaves and other autumn offerings is one of the things I miss the most. We always used to have bags of them to craft with, glue paint, collage. I loved it so much.
A lovely creative craft to make with the kids 🙂
This is a great idea! definitely going to do this with my 2 this half term.
Oh I absolutely love this idea I need to do this my son would love it
This is a lovely idea. We walk through a park everyday to and from school and Leo loves kicking leaves. I will definitely try this with him in autumn.
We do this craft every year – it’s great fun
This is a really sweet idea for the kids to do, I love it. Perfect for getting them out and about collecting things in the woods and then home to do crafting. A perfect autumn day.
My Great Niece has just made a hedgehog collage with autumn leaves and had loads of fun creating it! My sister and I dried the leaves in the airing cupboard, most of mine were ones stuck to my car’s windshield!
Brilliant idea!
