Amazon buys

My name’s Jayne and I shop on Amazon too much!
I love a good bargain and discovering new products and there are plenty of them on Amazon. I’ve used Amazon for years now. Even though I get what I need when we are out and about around the shops, I still like to browse on Amazon.
I have a Prime membership which I think is a really decent subscription. Not only do I get free delivery and access to same-day deliveries, but I also get Amazon music, which I always have blaring out when I am doing my housework. On top of all that, I receive Prime Video which has a huge selection of things to watch from movies to box sets.

I think that Amazon Prime is a fantastic deal at only £8.99 per month because I save much more than that in postage. I’m currently getting a discount which is nice as I’m studying at uni! But I’ve been happy to pay the fee each month for years and will continue to do so once I finish uni. It is great value in my opinion.
If you haven’t tried Amazon Prime yet you can get one month’s free trial of all services here.

Dog beds

Our oldest fur baby Bruce is our rescue dog and he is 11 years old. Although he is a very young 11 and still quite spritely, I wanted to get him an orthopedic dog bed to make him super comfy come bedtime. I got this JOYELF XX-Large orthopedic bed with a memory foam base.
I was pleasantly surprised with the base as it is really thick and if it can support our little chunk it can support most. Bruce likes to have a cushion as he sleeps so the surrounding cotton-padded bolsters are ideal for him.
Another feature that I like is that the cover can be taken off to wash.

We recently had our new puppy Barney join us so we needed a new bed for him. I got one of those comfy doughnut-style dog beds for him.
This is also washable because as you can expect we will probably get a few accidents on it while Barney is still training.

Abandoned Places of World War I (Abandoned series)

My eldest is really into abandoned places at the moment. It is a great subject to be interested in as we can do all sorts of home-schooling sessions around this including geography, history, and engineering.
I spotted this Abandoned Places of World War I book on Amazon and knew it would be perfect. Jayden has outstanding knowledge of World War 1 so this combined with abandoned places has really had him gripped from the first page! Well worth the money.

New Phone Case & Ring Holder

I’ve had the same phone case for ages now and it started to look a bit tired so I treated myself to this floral iPhone 13 Pro case.
I love it! The floral design is so pretty and it is cleverly layered that makes the flowers pop out.
I also bought a matching floral ring holder which is super handy to read my phone in bed or to stand it on my desk. I really love it!

Epilator

I have always used a lady shave and disposable razors for shaving but I’ve recently wanted to try an epilator.
The Braun Silk-épil 9 Epilator seemed to have some really good reviews so I chose that. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect at first but now I am used to it, it is a real game-changer! My legs are smoother for much longer now. I’ve not braved it on my armpits yet, so I’m still using my trusty shaver for those!

4-Tier Storage Trolley

I wanted a cheap as chips bit of storage for our downstairs bathroom. Something slim enough to slide in a gap at the side of the shower unit. This storage trolley does the job. It can be built in two pieces and used as under-sink storage too.

Draper leather gardening gloves

Nothing exciting here just some leather gardening gloves. Being in the countryside we get a lot of nettles and thistles here. I use thick leather gloves for handling those and for things like pruning. I do have a thinner pair for general gardening but these are fab for the more heavy-duty jobs that need doing.

  1. I dip in and out of Amazon Prime, when there’s something that I want to watch. It is a good deal for everything that you get.
What a great bed for Bruce and Barney’s is just so cute.
That Abandoned Places book looks so interesting.
We always get phone cases off Amazon and the epilator looks like a torture device but it sounds fantastic. x

  2. I had to think about cancelling my Amazon Prime this month because we just couldn’t afford it anymore. But it is convenient for those who can, especially for those last-minute emergency buys. I do need to start looking for storage solutions and a new phone case. Should buy it soon before my Amazon Prime runs out because I have stopped the subscription.

  3. I feel like I buy far too much on Amazon sometimes too! They make it far to easy to shop and browse and return.
