I love finding something good to watch on TV and also hearing about what you’ve been watching too. We love curling up on the sofa as a family with a great film, as well as getting stuck into a box set when the boys have gone to bed. Here are a few good things to watch that we’ve been enjoying this month.
TV
Gardener’s World
This is a favourite of mine that I look forward to at the end of the week. I think it brings a little hope amidst these crazy times. I have been an avid viewer for as long as I can remember. Gardening has always been an escape for me and I think more and more people are starting to see the positive benefits for your mental health that gardening can bring.
Sky
Gangs Of London
Oh, where to start with this one?! One of the best series we have watched in a long time. This is action-packed from start to finish, but be warned it is very gory! There are nine episodes between an hour and an hour and a half long and each one kept us wondering what was coming next. The program centres around one of London’s biggest crime families. When the head of the family and the most powerful gangster in London is assassinated, the fall out in the criminal underworld is crazy. You may recognise Sean (Joe Cole) who also played John Shelby in Peaky Blinders!
Jumanji: The Next Level
We loved the last Jumanji film, it kept all of us laughing from start to finish. I must admit I didn’t think this one was quite as good. The plot of the film is vaguely similar to the previous one, however, this time it is different people that become the players in the game. Kevin Hart’s character, in particular, is nowhere near as funny and I think that the whole plot was a little thin. That said, it was still worth a watch.
Netflix
Tiger King
How weird is this?! But we can’t stop watching it. I am sure everyone has heard of the Tiger King by now. Apparently, there is going to be another series released with Nicholas Cage playing Joe Exotic and I can’t wait to see it! Haha.
The Stranger
We have only just started watching this one. You know when you just can’t seem to get into a series, I’m really struggling to like this one. Although I have fallen asleep through a couple! I think we are going to try watching it again from the start because I’ve done this before with other shows and they have ended up being brilliant!
Better Call Saul
Season five has just finished on Netflix boo hoo! The final season is planned for next year. As with most seasons of Better Call Saul, it seems to take a little time to get going, and then all of the drama unfolds in the second half of the season. This is one of my favourites by far.
Do you have any other suggestions of what we should watch next? Take a look at some of my other TV round-ups for more inspiration.

Always interested in the next series to watch. I’ve not tried any of these. We finished The Marvellous Mrs Maisel and loved it. Can’t wait for the next series, whenever that happens. We’re trying The Loop at the moment. Very strange.
Stu and I have said we’re going to give Gangs Of London a go soon.
I loved Jumanji 2 but you’re right it wasn’t as good as the first one.
I loved The Stranger. It is one you have to watch and not fall asleep thorough as a lot seems to happen in each episode. lol x
I love the sound of Gangs of London, I’m not great at recommending new stuff – I always seem to be catching up with old stuff!
I’ve read that The Tiger King is very popular but I couldn’t get into it. I’ve been spending time on Acorn re-watching some favorite Brit and other shows. I’ve also been on YouTube each week catching The Show Must Go On channels offerings from Andrew Lloyd Webber. I woke up in the early hours this morning with images of cats in my head. #MMBC
We watched Jumanji: Next Level on Mother’s day for the second time. It’s such a fun movie for the whole family.
