Timeline British History Card Game Review

We are still enjoying being part of the Asmodee Blogger Board Game Club. This week we have been playing the Timeline British Histories card game. You may remember a few months ago we reviewed the Science Museum Timeline card game from Asmodee. We thought that Timeline was a fantastic game to encourage learning of historical events and the Science Museum edition focused on inventions and discoveries, like medicines, throughout history.

Timeline British History Age 8+ Years

Timeline British History edition is exactly the same game, with the same rules and objectives, just this edition focuses solely on British history. As with all Timeline games, you are all dealt a hand of cards and there is one card turned face up in the centre of the table. You view your hand of cards and choose one to play that you think happened before or after the event card on the table. You then turn the played card over to reveal the date of your event. If you got it right, play continues. If you got it wrong, you take another card from the pile.The winner is the one to place all of their cards into the timeline first. The beauty with the timeline games is that all of the cards can be added together to make one big set. This means that it is harder to remember the timeline and keeps the game feeling fresh and new.
