AD – Gifted collaboration
My boys love building dens and fortresses. Whether it’s camping under some chairs and blankets in the living room or going full-on Bear Grylls style outside and building dens out of branches and sticks they have foraged. Once built they will play in them for ages, so you can imagine the excitement when I told them we were getting a Hape Canvas Teepee delivery!
We have always been a big fan of Hape. Their toys are all so well made and built to last. I have bought numerous things from them in the past, some of which the boys still play with now.
This beautiful Teepee has the same great quality that we are familiar with.
Assembling the teepee was super simple……
The teepee comes in a matching canvass bag. The four wooden poles slide into pockets that are sewn into the teepee. Each pole has a hole drilled in the top. There is a drawstring sewn into the top of the teepee and you simply thread the string through the holes then tie it in a knot. Move the poles out until the fabric becomes taught and you are ready to go.
It has a fair amount of space inside where you could kit it out with blankets and cushions. It has a lovely little window to the side and you can tie back the sides like we have below.
As expected this has given the boys hours of fun! Especially my youngest. I also like that it can also be played with indoors as it doesn’t take up too much room. We took our adventure outdoors as the sunshine came and we were making the most of it!

I had not heard of the brand before so thanks for the introduction. I do love these little sanctuaries. I remember one of our first days of home education when my daughter’s peers were doing SATS and she was in one of these reading a classical book in the sunshine. You brought back a fond memory and reminded me that wobbles or not, home education brings special joy. #MMBC

We had a teepee in our garden when we were children. My brother was about 5 and decided to get undressed in it for some reason , he stuck his bum out and it fell over with his bum hanging out ???? I laughed so much I had to go back to the house before I wet myself lol
