We have always been massive fans of music in our home. Our love for music has even passed down to the little ones, especially my 5 year old boy who knows pretty much every song in the current top 40. He sings along to Sam Smith, he dances to David Guetta’s tracks and likes Taylor Swift, he thinks she’s ‘nice’.

I’ve never had a specific preference when it comes to different genres, I tend to like all sorts, from pop, rock, heavy rock, RnB, pretty much everything goes really.

However, there is one all time favourite artist of mine that I have been fond of for as long as I can remember and that is Pink!

My Hubby and I went to see her live at Birmingham NEC a couple of years back and it was just mind blowing. Standing infront of your favourite artist and listening to them blast tunes out that you normally bop along to at home or work, truly is something else.  The atmosphere is just awesome and leaves you feeling somewhat upbeat while singing along to your favourite tracks with others, who also share your liking for feel good tunes.

I take my music with me pretty much everywhere I go. I turn on my playlist on the iPod and listen as I drive along, making my way to my destination, tapping the wheel and singing at the top of my voice owning that song! Well it sounds ok to me!

You can often find me listening to my tunes whilst out in the garden, armed with headphones cutting the grass or weeding, it makes jobs so less mundane when a song comes on that you love.

But I think the ultimate way to enjoy music is around the home with a decent Wireless Speaker System. Especially if you work from home as I do or perhaps you are a SAHM or father?  Get hoovering to a bit of Jason Derulo or maybe polish to a bit of Sia, all at the touch of a button from your iPhone or Tab. Now that’s music to my ears! Is it yours?

  1. Hi Jayne, we all have a pair of Panasonic wireless speakers and they are fantastic (I first had a pair as a Christmas gift as I like to listen to the radio whilst pottering round and they were so good that everyone wanted their own pair for birthdays). My husband and daughter tend to listen Spotify, whereas I enjoy listening to the radio as I potter round and listening through speakers means I can actually hear the music and banter.

I’m a bit like you in that I don’t have a specific style of music I enjoy, what I listen to is often dictated by my mood, but I do enjoy Pink. I love her ‘say it like it is attitude’ and she comes across as real.
