Meal planning for families.

I am so glad that I started meal planning, it saves so much time! Such as last week when we had so many appointments to go to, having a meal plan in place gave us one less thing to deal with.
This week is pretty straight forward, nothing fancy but lots of family favourites to look forward to.

Here’s what our meal plan looks like this week.

Monday – Cottage pie served with green beans. Always a firm favourite in our house.

Tuesday – Falafels served in pitta bread with salad. We had these the other week and looking forward to them again today. They also make a great meat-free meal that no-one notices are meat-free!

Wednesday – Hunter chicken with sweet potato wedges. Jayden doesn’t like sweet potato, so he’ll have oven chips with his.

Thursday – Hot dogs with onions, ketchup and American mustard. Requested by the boys!

Friday – Pasta bolognese. Doubling the meat-free meals up this week by using Quorn mince. We usually have fusilli instead of spaghetti.

Saturday – Chicken and rice. We like the microwave pouches of golden vegetable rice from Tesco.

Sunday – Beef dinner. I’m going to cook the beef in the slow cooker and have it with roast potatoes, mash, roast carrots, roast parsnips and broccoli. I love a roast!

  1. Great meal plan! I don’t think I have ever had Falafels before. They sound like something I would like and can trick my family with, with them being meat free.
Yum! I love Hot dogs. It seems ages since we had them. x
