Kids Healthy Snacks Made Easy With Swan Fearne

Kids Healthy Snacks Made Easy With Swan Fearne

A few months ago myself and Kim who blogs over at Northumberland Mam did a lovely gift swap collaboration with the awesome guys at AO.com. I was sent a Dyson Light Ball Multi Floor and a V6 Cord Free Bagless Vacuum Cleaner Bundle. We have been very lucky to have worked with them again recently only this time Kim chose the fab Swan Fearne Stick Blender for me. You can also pop over to Kim’s blog to see how she got on with her Swan Fearne Stand Mixer.

Swan Fearne Blender In Peacock Blue

I really like Fearne Cotton and to see her put her name to a new kitchen range in collaboration with Swan is just awesome. The first thing that I love love love is the colour of this little beauty! This soft pastel shade would fit in with most kitchens. I do love a good blender as they are ideal to whip up some soup or in our case some healthy dips for the kids. This 800w powered blender can mix or puree food in no time. I found it really easy to switch from one tool to another without any fuss and it’s very compact so will not invade your kitchen space.

You can adjust the 4-speed settings with the chrome controls.

I decided to make some dips as a tasty snack for the kids. The blender made little work of chopping up the ingredients for my Fruity Salsa and blended my Beany Dip mixture perfectly.

Fruity Salsa

1-2 Spring onions chopped finely

10 Cherry tomatoes

1/2 Mango chopped

1/2 Cucumber chopped

Handful of sweetcorn

Coriander chopped

Squeeze of lemon juice

1 tsp Olive oil

Method

Chop the tomatoes into small chunks, stir together with the chopped onions, mango, sweetcorn and cucumber. Splash with olive oil and top with coriander. This is so good eaten with nachos or Doritos!

Beany Dip

1 x 400g Chickpeas rinsed and drained

1 tbsp of peanut butter (optional)

1/2 garlic clove crushed

1 tsp Lemon juice

1 tsp Olive oil

Pepper to taste

Method

Blend the chickpeas until they are a thick paste. Add garlic and peanut butter (if using it) and mix well. To get the consistency you require continue to add a tsp of water, lemon juice and olive oil. Finally, add a little pepper to taste.

I can see our blender getting a lot of use come Summertime. Our BBQ days will be all about the marinades, sauces and dips!

Pin me for later

if you are looking for some quick, tasty and healthy kids snacks then why not try this fruity salsa and beany dip? Perfect for party snacks too!
