I think out of all the rooms in our home, the bathroom is one of my favourites. Partly because of the sky light. I was instantly drawn in by this when we first viewed the house 8 years ago. It lets so much light, it’s just so bright and airy, I love it. And of course it’s a place where I can escape and have a nice soak in peace (well sometimes, if the kids let me). My current theme is nautical, but my ideal bathroom would have shades of yellow and grey along with a nice freestanding bath and funky accessories to finish off the look. So here they are………..
6 Top Picks For A Perfect Bathroom Makeover

1 Grey & Yellow Chevron Accessories I love the pattern on these and they would fit in perfectly with the colour scheme I have chosen.
2 Next Towel bales I have always bought next towel bales ever since we moved into our home. They are unbelievably soft and wash really well too. I love their designs and can always find a shade that matches well with my theme.
3 JL Croft Collection Basket This is perfect for those who have a small bathroom. I would use this personally to store my clean towels in. Just roll them up and pop them in for instant storage. (Also saves drilling walls for towel racks, which is useful if you rent your property).
4 Mode Ellis Freestanding Bath I have always wanted a freestanding bath and this is just gorgeous. I love the earthy tone too.
5 Velux Blind As I stated earlier the sky light in our bathroom is by far the best feature. It’s so nice watching the clouds pass by as you take a bath! Our current Velux blind is blue, so I’m going to update that to a lighter shade, maybe white or cream.
6 Metro Tiles I would have these in my kitchen as well as my bathroom. I love the modern brickwork design and just how well they reflect the light. I would use white with an accent of grey as per picture.
Are you considering a bathroom makeover? Do you like any of the above?

I love freestanding baths! We have a roll top one and though it is small (thanks to the size/shape of the room) it makes baths such a treat 🙂
I’d love a freestanding bath like this one, it looks stunning. I use a basket like this for my blankets in the living room and it’s so much tidier x
Lovely ideas. I love the bath. The soap dispenser is really quirky. My bathroom is in need of some love now lol
I like the bathtub – I think re-doing our bathroom is somewhere on the horizon – good to have some ideas before we get there.
Great choices here – I love the yellow and grey combo. It’s nearly a year since we had our bathroom “done” and I still love the aqua theme I decided on – my favourite room in the house (in its current state!!)
I love NEXT towels too – and TKMaxx ones are also very good – especially if they are 100% cotton and made in Turkey! Love the colour scheme you’ve chosen as well – very on trend!
Yes! I love everything. The yellow is really nice and brightens up a room so much x
I love the yellow and chevron accessories and the towel bales are so cute! I like the bathroom moodboard that you created x
Our bathroom is very simple but really not my style (it was newly renovated just before we moved in). Many Swedish houses just don’t have baths, and neither do we, despite having three bathrooms! Love the bath here, I also love free-standing types, and if we were ever to get one, it would be like this!
You have given some great bathroom decor ideas. Bookmarked this post for future reference. My bathroom is in need of a makeover.
Our bathroom isn’t too bad but thanks for the ideas!
I love the colour scheme! Our bathroom is a really boring grey and this has given me some ideas as to how to make it brighter by injecting colour in some items!! x
