Thomas had always been a big favourite with the boys, so you can imagine the excitement when they got to try out the new Thomas and Percy’s Railway Race Set.
Assembly
It was super easy to assemble, with coded parts and an easy to follow instructions sheet to go off. You will need a screwdriver to open the battery cover on the trains. They take x4 AAA batteries.
It is quite different to the other tracks as this is a race circuit where two trains compete for first place!
The motorised trains are placed at the start and held in position by a little brake lever. Once released they head off along the tracks.
When they approach the bridge, it flings open to make way for the engines.
When the trains head back towards the finish line, the winner sets off the chequered flag. Celebratory Fireworks also pop up on top of the gantry.
I think the Thomas and Percy’s Railway Race Set is brilliant value for £46.99. It kept the boys entertained for a fair time.

Oh that looks like the same great Thomas sets as my oldest had (obviously different but like how Thomas and friends haven’t had a modification like some other toys)
Yes it has always remained consistent.
It might seem a little pricey at first but I think that at under £50 the railway set has so many possibilities for little imaginations to go wild.

This looks like a great little track. They are quite easy to assemble but sometimes they take ages don’t they will all the parts. It looks fab when it’s all finished though 🙂

Yes, I must admit, on first opening it I thought it was going to be a nightmare! But with the codes printed on the back, it made it much easier 🙂

They do last well.
