I recently received this beautiful hamper full of goodies to review.
And being a big user of condiments in our home I couldn’t wait to get trying them all.
This is a big favourite of ours. Lots of lashings spread on a ham and cheese sandwich is certainly the way forward!. Sweet chunks of heavenly pickle! love it.
Haywards Piccalilli
Again this is another popular sauce in many households, however not one I’m so keen on. I find this to have a very tangy and vinegary taste, and I’m not all that keen on the texture of the crunchy vegetables, this is just a personal opinion of my own, and I know there are many more people out there that are big fans of this, unfortunately I am not one of them.
Branston Orchard Fruit Chutney
I had never heard of this before. And after trying it I absolutely love it!.
It does have a sweet taste so it is just up my street.
Check out my Sticky Pork Steaks Recipe using this Chutney.
This is now a big hit in our home.
Haywards Hot & Spicy Onions
I have seen these whilst out shopping but being an absolute wimp when it comes to hot and spicy foods, I have never purchased these.
As expected I tried one and didn’t like the hot after taste, after all I am the kind of person who will only go as far as a tikka curry from our local Indian restaurant! so no surprise when I pulled a face. However my hubby and my father both love these, so they were a big hit with the guys for sure.
I think I will stick to my Haywards sweet onions.
Haywards Baby Beetroot
These are a yummy addition to any potato salad or you could make some Beetroot Brownies.
Sarson’s Balsamic Vinegar & Sarson’s Malt Vinegar
A trip to the seaside just isn’t complete without tucking into a bag of fish and chips drenched in salt and vinegar, just perfect. well apart from fending off the seagulls that is.
Sarson’s malt vinegar and chips go hand in hand.
I made some awesome Salt and Vinegar Popcorn with it too.
I haven’t tried the balsamic one until now. I used this to accompany my salad, although not something I would normally do. However I was pleasantly surprised with how nice it was.
I have really enjoyed making and baking using some of these condiments, all can be purchased at majority of Supermarkets such as Morrisons, Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Asda etc.
*I was sent these products free of charge for the purpose of this review. All thoughts and opinions are my own*

I have not had Branston pickle for years, but now that I have remembered how tasty it is I have added it to this weeks shopping list!
