Dinosaur Crayons

Recycle old crayons

This is a great way to recycle old crayons that mount up around the home.

All you need is –

  • Old Crayons
  • A Mould (In our case a dinosaur one)
  • Silicone muffin cases

You can get lots of different mould designs quite cheap on Ebay.

Take all of the papers off the crayons and break them up into small pieces.

Put them into your silicone cases.

Then pop into the oven for around 10-15mins on approx 200 degrees/Gas Mark 6.

Transfer the wax into your mould and leave to cool down and set.

    1. Thank you,
it really is because you can use all sorts of moulds depending on what your little one is in to at the time 🙂

  1. These look fab! I love the colourful dinosaurs. I’ve tried making crayons before, but normally I just put them straight into the moulds to melt inthe oven, however this end up with a separation at the back with a white/translucent wax on the back of the crayon. Does it look better, set evenly with this method of putting it in silicone containers first? These are great for party bags too.

  2. These looks fabulous, my son would go mad for these! I have to find somewhere that sells moulds like these; I don’t think I have come across any in my travels. Maybe I just haven’t been looking for them! Ray xx #HowToSundays
