Does anyone else feel like July has absolutely flown by? It only feels like five minutes ago we were wondering if summer was ever going to arrive, and now we’re already in the midst of trying to fit everything in before autumn sneaks up on us. Time needs to slow down a little.
It felt good to finally get around to having my hair done. Ell did a fab job. We had a good laugh and put the world to rights.

Then the weekend has mainly been cutting hedges and shredding them to mulch to put in the compost pile. Oh, and we finally had a bit of rain! The garden desperately needed a watering after the heatwave scorched the lawn.
We’re off out using our National Trust membership this week. I’m also painting the bathroom, and somewhere in between, I hope to start reading my new book!
Now then, kettle on… let’s see what you’ve all been up to!
Features of the Week
Missy shared a really clever way to give old picture frames a new lease of life. Framing the hanging baskets was such a lovely idea, and it looked so pretty in the garden.
Carol shared her visit to Philippe Park. I loved seeing all the beautiful views around the bay, and it was interesting to read about the park’s history too.
Have a lovely week, everyone. x 😊
Let’s Get Linking Up

HOW THIS LINKY WORKS (NEW MEMBERS PLEASE READ)
Welcome to the Monday Morning Blog Club!
If you’re new here, a big warm welcome to our lovely group! Monday Morning Blog Club is a weekly blog linky for bloggers to share their blog homepages.
Simply pop your blog’s homepage link below, and our friendly community will visit and choose which posts they’d like to read and comment on. (Please don’t link to individual blog posts — homepage links only!)
We kindly ask that you take a moment to visit and comment on at least a couple of other blogs. It’s all about sharing the love and supporting each other.
I’ll be visiting everyone’s blogs over the next couple of days, and I can’t wait to have a read! This is a fantastic way to boost your blog’s visibility, discover amazing content, and make new friends along the way.
Winner winner, chicken dinner!
Yes, summer is passing quickly! My grandchildren will be returning to school a couple weeks. It has been very hot lately and we have poor air qaulity due to wildfires in our state, so sadly we have been staying indoors quite a bit which has been frustrating.
Your hair look gorgeous!!! I hope you didn’t cut those hedges straight afterwards. You should have had a night on the town looking so glam!
Thanks for the mention of my post on Philippe Park. I love your hair!!
July was gone in a flash, I can’t believe we are heading into August this week.
Your hair looks fabulous! Good on you for treating yourself. Send some of that rain this way, it keeps looking like it’s going to pour down but we’ve had nothing. Our grass is all burned too but at least it means we don’t have to cut it. lol x
June burst out the weeds, so July is weeding and organizing the garden, as well as training the hens to “coop up” at night for security. Enjoy the rest of summer, they do go fast!
Thanks for hosting again my lovely xx
Hi Jayne! I tried to leave a message earlier today (I’m still not sure if it went through or not) but then the internet went out this afternoon due to a tornado touch down north of us! Thankfully, we are all fine and grateful for a minor distraction but we’re thinking of the towns impacted! Thanks so much for the party! Your hair looks stunning! I love the color and the waves! Have a good week!
