I have never really seen cleaning as a chore because I actually enjoy it! I used to have my own cleaning business before I had the boys but chose to give that up when my husband took ill.
Another reason why I like to stay on top of the housework is that we homeschool, so that means the boys are at home a lot more than children who would go to school. Therefore, there’s lots more to be picked up, tidied away and plenty more crumbs to clean up!

Buffing Up Stainless Steel Appliances
My all-time favourite for buffing up my stainless steel appliances is baby oil. Just a little amount on a cloth will buff up stainless steel like new. It is great for removing watermarks and fingerprints!

Freshen up
Another one of my favourite cleaning staples is Zoflora. I have so many ways that I use this and always make sure that I have plenty in the cleaning cupboard. One way that I like to use Zoflora is to pop a little bit onto some kitchen towel and place it at the bottom of the kitchen bin after I have cleaned it. It helps mask the nasty smells that a bin gives off!

Microwave
You don’t have to spend hours scrubbing at the inside of a microwave. Just pop in a microwave safe cup or bowl of water, add half a lemon and turn on full power for 1-2 minutes. Any food remnants will now be easy to wipe away and there will be no more nasty niffs!
Lightening Recycling!
Stay organised with your recycling and create your own little hub by using colour coordinated bins. This saves so much time. We all know how easy it can be to just put everything in one bin, but these ensure that you recycle as much as you can from your waste.

Radiant Radiators
You would not believe the amount of dust that clogs up behind a radiator. With such an awkward space to get to, you can use a radiator brush shaped for the job. To get excess dust from inside convector radiators, you can use a hairdryer to blow the dust out or a vacuum if you have a thin enough attachment.

Twinkly Tiles
The grout between tiles can start to look grimy in time, especially tiles that surround the bath or shower. I use watered down bleach and scrub with a toothbrush, it brings the grout up lovely and white again. Always make sure to well ventilate the bathroom by leaving a window wide open whilst you do this.

I wish you did my house! I am not a fan and yet do it because you could say it is a dirty job but somebody has to do it and my husband and children don’t seem very keen to help much! Grrrr! Anyway thank you for the baby oil tip which is a new one on me and is going to change my life. I also need to locate a radiator brush! Lemon juice is fabulous – so many uses. Also love white vinegar and baking powder. Far better than cleaning products where you don’t know what is in them. #MMBC
I didn’t know about the baby oil for stainless steel, I’ve got lots of watermarks on my skin to try and get rid of!

I love the baby oil idea, will try this out, my fave hack is using brown sauce on copper brings it up a treat
Your cleaning hack with tiles is great! I use the strongest, undiluted white vinegar I can on the tiles in my entrance hall. Just pour it onto the grout, let it sit for a few minutes then clean it off. Cheap white vinegar can be used for loads of household jobs – it’s a great garden weedkiller too.

I love Zoflora, I put a capful in a spray bottle and top the rest of the bottle with water to make a disenfectant spray.

I’ve never thought to use my hairdryer on the radiators, mine get so dusty and are a nightmare to get clean. I love cleaning hacks like these, anything to make the job a bit easier.
