Technology has its positives and drawbacks, but it is often something children will get to interact with as they go through school life. Even more so these days, with the rise of technological advancements that aid with learning, children will have to get used to embracing all kinds of devices and tech to get them through school life. Is it used for learning only?
Many schools will bring out computers, tablets and other pieces of tech to teach their students how to use different devices. This is where children can really develop their skills and learn about the many uses technology can bring to a work or educational environment. It’s meant to show your child how they can rely on these resources later on in life, especially in the run up to exams and other important coursework.
When technology can be a hindrance
You often see different pieces of technology become a problem if your child becomes obsessed with using them all of the time. Mobile phones, apps and video games are common culprits which can cause more problems over time if it’s not curbed quickly.
Addictions to social media and other online games are often derived from the devices they’re used on. Parents often have to cut back the use of these devices to stop children from relying on them all the time and it can have a lasting impact on their studies.

Your child will come into contact with a lot of technology as they go through school. From the machines used in a Design Tech room to the marvels of the Science world, your child will have a multitude of opportunities to use and enjoy technology. However, in some forms there are potential risks to a child’s development if they become too engrossed – to the point where it becomes a clear problem.
