Orchard Toys Peter Rabbit game 2

As Easter approaches, thousands of Easter eggs are flying off the shelves. I always get my kids Easter eggs but I also like to get some gifts that my boys can actually make use of or play with.
So I have put together some alternative gifts for Easter that kids will love!

Easter Themed Games

We are big fans of Orchard Toys in our house. My youngest is autistic and finds it challenging to concentrate. With that said, we find he really connects with these games and puzzles as they are easy to follow and most importantly, fun!
Egg Surprise is a bunny-themed counting game. Spin the carrot spinner and choose a bunny card showing the same number of spots as the number on your spinner. Turn over the card which will show a number of eggs on it – the more eggs the better! The winner is the player with the most eggs at the end of the game.

A new favourite of ours from Orchard Toys is this cute matching game, Peter Rabbit – Rabbit Race.
Join mischievous Peter Rabbit, Benjamin Bunny, Flopsy and Mopsy on their exciting quest to steal Mr. McGregor’s trug of fruit and vegetables by burrowing their way under his vegetable patch!
What I love about this game is that it can be adapted for different ages, so the the whole family can enjoy playing with these classic characters.

The lovely gang at Quarto sent us this beautiful children’s picture book – The Hot Cross Bunny by Carys Bexington.
Meet Steve, a rather – hot – cross bunny and his more positive pal, Nugget, a cute chick. Steve has failed to make any chocolate eggs for the Easter egg hunt. What is he going to do?
Egged on by Nugget he decides to make an egg his own way. Not only is Steve’s attempt egg-normous but it hatches a… dragon! Chaos and drama unfold as the baby dragon rampages though town, gobbling up Easter eggs as it goes with unegg-spected results!

  1. Ahh! I miss my girls being younger when they would appreciate these things, especially the games. Although I think they would both love the Lego set and the sweets. x
