DUI/DWI

Operating a motor vehicle while impaired due to alcohol or drugs constitutes DUI or DWI – two criminal offences with stiff punishments depending on your state, often including jail time and fines as well as licence suspensions.

Robbery 

By definition, robbery refers to taking something of value by force or threat of violence. This may include taking something directly from another’s person such as their purse or wallet or robbing a business. Punishments vary by state but may include prison time and/or fines.

Burglary

Burglary involves entering another person’s property without their consent with the intent to commit criminal acts, such as stealing items from their home or vehicle, breaking into their business late at night, or using burglary tools to gain entrance. Punishments for burglary vary by state law and may range from probation up to life imprisonment.

Vandalism

Vandalism refers to any act that involves damaging or destroying public or private property without permission of its owners, such as spraying graffiti, smashing windows, defacing monuments, etc. Punishments for vandalism vary depending on its state and severity; punishments could include fines, restitution payments and/or jail time.

Obstruction of Justice

Obstruction of justice can occur when someone intervenes with the legal process by providing false or incomplete information, concealing evidence or seeking to influence its outcome in any way. This offence is considered serious and may result in fines or imprisonment as punishment.
