With so many holiday locations to choose from, it can be hard to find the perfect place for you and your loved ones. It’s also key to know where you can find cheap holidays, so you don’t have to blow the bank for some time out of your busy schedule.
These are our top three places you can visit, that have some incredible attractions and gorgeous sights, but at affordable prices!
Cleethorpes, Lincolnshire
This seaside town in the North East of England has some incredible views and a brilliant history. The town was originally known for its big fishing industry, as well as the award-winning Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway. Dating back to 1948, this is one of Britain’s oldest seaside miniature railways.
Not only has Cleethorpes got some amazing history to soak up, but you can also take a trip along the coastline to walk along the pier, which opened in 1873 and reaches an incredible 370 metres long. Today, the pier is home to multiple typical English fish and chip shops, a café, bar and concert hall.
If you have children, there are plenty of activities for them too! Such as paddle boarding, kayaking, horse rides on the beach, and plenty of cycle paths if you are wanting a family bike ride.
Swanage, Dorset
If you’ve got children, visiting Swanage is a must! Their beautiful beaches are awarded with a Blue Flag and Seaside Award, where the RNLI lifeguards are situated within the bathing zone which is an ideal location for your family swim.
Steam trains run through the beautiful Purbeck countryside and past Corfe Castle to the sandy beach of Swanage. Durlston Castle and Country Park is a countryside paradise just a half an hour walk from Swanage Town Centre with coastal routes, incredible views and some fascinating wildlife. If you are interested in history and heritage, this location is one you should definitely put on your bucket list.

Whitecliff Bay, Isle of Wight
Whitecliff Bay is at the eastern point of the Isle of Wight. The bay has a shoreline of around three-quarters of a mile and has a popular sandy shingle beach which is over half a mile long. With a perfectly sheltered beach, there is always a quiet spot where you can look out to the English Channel – who wouldn’t want this view?
There are plenty of eating options on site including the Beach Café for light bites, the Culver Diner for burgers, pizzas and hot dogs, the Nab Bar for pub classics and a well-stocked shop if you prefer to cook for yourself. The options are endless! At this location, you can be sure to have lots of fun-filled excitement, on a budget.

We had a fabulous holiday in Swanage – we stayed in a caravan park there. The beaches are beautiful and we loved our steam train ride but we found the entrance fee to Corfe Castle a bit pricey. Luckily you can look at it from the bottom of the hill without going in :o)

We have thought about having a little break away to Cleethorpes even though it’s only a couple of buses away.
