trike collage

Being big fans of Fisher Price we were delighted to of kindly been sent the Fabulous Fisher Price Charisma 3 in 1 Trike.

I couldn’t wait to get into the box and get it setup.

Assembly

Assembling the Trike was nice and easy. The instructions provided are simple to follow so no problems there. It took around 15-20 minutes to put together, it would of been sooner if the pooch didn’t keep walking through my work space!

My youngest has just turned 12 months so this is ideal for him and the Fisher Price Trike has 3 stages so it will grow with him.

Stage 1: At 10 months baby sits safely in the high-backed reclining seat and uses the foot rest.

Stage 2: At 24 months it becomes a training trike – kids learn to pedal.

Stage 3: At 30 months, remove parent handle, close the safety clutch and it becomes an independent trike that kids pedal by themselves

My little one has just had his jabs and been a little under the weather and talking of weather it has rained constantly for a week here so we have been checking out the trike from the comfort of indoors and plan to take it out as soon as he feels better.

A nice little touch is the padded harnesses, they have such a vibrant and funky pattern and can also be taken off to wash which is always good with little ones.

He can even cruise along with a nice bottle of milk in tow because it’s thirsty work being chauffeured you know!

The foot rests are easily folded away once your child outgrows this stage. Little man can just about touch them with his toes so he will be using these for a little while longer.

One of the features that really impressed me was the navigator button on the mudguard. This enables you to switch between parent steering and child led mode. On parent control little man can steer away to his hearts content and it won’t result in us going all over the place as you remain in full control of the trike. The steering is super light too so hardly any effort is needed to manoeuvre and due to the built in suspension it ensures a comfy ride. I have no doubts that this will cope on the off-road tracks that are around ours being out in the country.

It even has a handy little compartment and bag to the rear for storage. Ideal for a nappy change supplies, wipes, spare soothers etc.

With a recommended RRP £74.99 and currently a further £10.00 off at Smyths I would certainly recommend the Fisher Price Charisma 3 in 1 Trike. It would make a perfect christmas gift and it’s getting a massive thumbs up from us.
