There is nothing that screams Halloween like a pumpkin. Carving Jack’O’Lanterns of all shapes and sizes is probably my favourite Halloween tradition, along with a Halloween party for the kids. We always keep the flesh from the carved pumpkins to make all sorts of autumnal treats such as pumpkin pie and pumpkin soup.
With that said, it’s almost time to get visiting pumpkin patches! So we have selected some of the best places to pick your own pumpkins in Staffordshire.
Happy pumpkin picking!

Will you be going pumpkin picking this year?
Great round up!
We are going to pick our own pumpkin for the first time, this year. There’s a farmer growing them, just up the road x
Ohhh…weirdly (as I love pick your own fruit) I have never heard of pick your own pumpkin! I live in Staffordshire too so this article has been fab for me, thank you!!
I’ve not been to a pyo pumpkin farm. We grow our own , but the children still persuade me to take them to a favourite farm shop to chose three from their trailers. I don’t mind. You’re right about how versatile pumpkins are. #mmbc
Ooh fantastic, thanks for this… Definitely going to visit the National Forest Adventure Farm 🙂
Great ideas
We love picking pumpkins! Our 2 are only little so we don’t do anything else for Halloween but they do love carving the pumpkin and lighting it with candles.
Looks fantastic – too far from me though!
Great fun for all the family
Can’t believe we are starting to think of Halloween this year is flying past .
This would make a great family outing, my grandchildren love having pumpkins for Halloween!
Am not too far from Staffs , I havent done a PYO in so many years but we used to love it as a wonderful day out

I’ve never picked my own pumpkin – it looks like fun!
Whoppers ! So many great places
Never been pumpkin 🎃 picking!
I have never been pumpkin picking. Firstly I don’t know if it is worth the journey and the cost. I should really research to see if there is anything to do there other than pick a pumpkin otherwise for an hour and a half there and back is quite a journey for a pumpkin. We don’t have a car either.
We went a few years back, it was quite fun actually. It got both of the children out in the fresh air for a few hours so that’s always good.
Loved reading places you recommend, pumpkin picking is so fun at halloween
We love Pumpkin picking! Such a fun family day out!
I love seeing the pumpkins in the fields as you drive past!
I so enjoy Pumpkin Picking at my local farm x
Forgot about Halloween 🎃 – looks fabulous
I like the sound of the Maize Maze being spookified with a Witches Cottage & Potion Station! Sounds exciting!

We picked our own pumpkins a few times over the years and it was fun especially when the farms have other things the children can get involved in.
I think my daughter and grand children would like to do this.
I’d love to do this, seems like a fun activity for the kids too.
Never heard of pumpkin picking. Looks like it could be fun.
