We have really enjoyed being Bandai STEM ambassadors over the past few months. We have learned so much from all of the fun kits that we’ve tried. We’ve discovered geodes, built our own volcano, grown crystals, found dinosaur fossils, learned all about bugs and so many more fun activities to get stuck into.
For our final review, we have the National Geographic Shark Tooth and Gemstone dig kits and Ultimate Play Sand.
The National Geographic dig kits are so much fun. Each kit comes with plaster digging brick that cases your hidden sample, archaeological digging tools, a magnifying glass and a learning guide. It has everything you need to excavate the hidden treasure.

The Shark Tooth Dig Kit
There are 3 tooth fossils to find in this kit: A Sand Tiger, Crow Shark and Otodus Shark. You can learn all sorts of fun facts by using the learning guide alongside your excavating. like sharks come in all sizes from the 6-inch Dwarf Lantern Shark to the 40-foot Whale Shark.

The Gemstone Dig Kit
Inside this dig kit are genuine gemstone fossils. The gemstones you can find in your digging block are quartz, amethyst, and tiger’s eye. Again you can learn interesting facts about gemstones such as how the Tiger’s Eye was worn into battle by Roman soldiers to provide protection from the enemy.

Ultimate Play Sand
This funky coloured sand is actually kinetic sand, so it sticks to itself and not to everything else unlike the normal play sand we are familiar with! You get 900 grams of kinetic sand which you can mould, shape, squeeze and build with. There are also 6 different moulds to play with.
Store in an airtight container to keep it clean and prevent it from drying out.

learning is so much fun with Bandai’s National Geographic kits.

Fantastic – very educational!
They look like great toys. Love that they are interactive and an activity the children need to concentrate on. Plus they are learning all the time. #MMBC
I got so excited when I saw this. I hated STEM subjects as school, but I would have loved them if I’d had these sorts of things when I was younger. #MMBC
