I love music and often have it blaring out around the house when I’m cleaning or listen to it via my wireless headphones when outside in the garden. So I was really excited to have been sent the Anker Soundcore Flare Speaker to try out.

The Soundcore Flare is a Bluetooth speaker so no pesky cables! Let’s kick off with a few of the built-in features and then I can get on to what we think of it.

The first thing I tried out is how loud I could turn up the speaker without causing any distortion. I was really impressed with the volume this little speaker can handle and the music still sounds crystal clear when on a higher volume.
The Soundcore Flare can connect to any source through an AUX cable (not included) The best way to connect is through Bluetooth. There is an accompanying app available through Google Play and the app store for iOS which allows you to customise your Soundcore speaker. You can not only control the volume but you can alter the digital equaliser which allows you to add different sound effects from bass boost to vocal. You can also change the cool lighting effects and can choose from different moods, so if you are chilling out on your bed you can have soft pastel shades, or if you fancy something funkier then you can choose from more vibrant colours. You can also choose the pattern of the lights such as the lights flashing to the beat of the track playing or a soft glow that comes in and out.
The Flare is waterproof! So the whole family can enjoy using it whilst taking a bath. I think this would be quite a novelty for little ones.
Another thing that sold it to me was that I can take it outdoors. I love gardening so to be able to take this speaker outside whilst I work will be awesome. It will also come in handy for those Summer BBQs that turn into late night stop outs! It’s good to know that it has 12 hours worth of play before it needs recharging, that’s plenty of playback time to withstand our crazy get-togethers.
We have already had so much use from this speaker. It has a purpose for everyone in our family and we think it’s pretty awesome.

This sounds fantastic! I like that you can use it in the bathroom with it being waterproof. I usually turn the radio up in the kitchen so I can hear it when I’m in the bath and I annoy the whole house. Oops.
