Rubik's cube 2x2 puzzle

Being part of the Rubik’s bloggers panel we have had fun trying out some of the fab puzzles that Rubik’s have to offer. You may have seen one of our previous posts where we shared the fun Rubik’s junior animal puzzles. My 7-year-old son loves a good puzzle so he was excited to get started on the new Rubik’s 2 x 2 cube.

Rubik’s 2 x 2 Cube Age 8+

On first impressions, it looks like quite an easy puzzle to do. However, that is far from the truth. There are over 3764,160 different combinations and with the smoother twisting action, these combos can be achieved at superfast speed. Unlike the original Rubik’s this has durable bonded solid plastic tiles, so no stickers no cheating! Hehe!

I think they are a great way to get kids problem-solving and would make a perfect fiddle toy. Jayden is proving quite a whizz kid on the 2×2 Rubik’s, just a little more practice and I’m sure he will nail it! If you fancy having a go yourself, you can find them available on the Rubik’s online store.

  1. Great thanks! I could never work out how to solve a Rubiks cube when I was little and still don’t know how to now!

  2. I love the look of this. Maybe I’ll be able to do it as I could never do the 3×3 one! Great giveaway, thank you x

  3. This so takes me back to the eighties…this was the most frustrating toy ever because I could never do it 🙂 Just a couple of week’s ago though, my friends son brought one round and he could do it super fast, it was so impressive. He did try to teach me, but I was all fingers and thumbs. Maybe this version will be easier? Entering your competition just in case I get lucky!
