I think we have all at one point had to tighten our belts and watch our pennies, unless you are Alan Sugar that is! And especially when you have a family, every penny makes a difference. I have made a little list (I love a good list) of easy ways to hopefully help you make a bit of extra cash. Some require a little effort, materials or even insurance, while some can be done from the comfort of your sofa!
25 Ways To Make Some Extra Money

1 Completing Online Surveys – Some of my favourites are Prolific Academy, where you can earn anything from 30p – £10. Crowdology, can earn you 40p – £10.
2 Selling handmade crafts – If you have a skill such as crocheting, knitting, painting then perhaps you could sell your work. Check out these business ideas on our weekly Mums That Mean Business feature.
3 Use cashback sites such as Topcashback or Quidco
4 Sell unused items on Ebay or Facebook market place.
5 Join Swagbucks and watch videos, take surveys to collect points which can then be redeemed for gift cards.
6 Start a blog – This is not by no means a quick way to make money. It takes a lot of time and effort but the rewards are fab.
7 Dog Walking
8 Pet Sitter
9 House sitting
10 Ironing
11 People per hour – Are you good at writing? Or perhaps you are a good illustrator? Then advertise your work here.
12 Sell your services on bidvine. Whether you are a photographer, plumber, electrician, simply register and wait for requests to come in.
13 Mobile phone repairs – If like my husband, you are a bit of a dab hand at replacing iPhone screens, then why not charge for your services?
14 Gardening services
15 Mystery shopping
16 Car boots
17 Sell your photos – Are you a keen photographer? Then companies like istockphoto want your photos!
18 Virtual Assistant
19 Write an ebook
20 Birthday planner
21 Baking cakes – Ideal to sell at local farmers markets, or cater for birthdays and other events.
22 Handyman/woman
23 Delivery person. With more people shopping safely online, delivery drivers are more in demand than ever. Before you start delivering part-time, read this!
24 Matched betting – I was unsure whether or not to include this, but reading into this and actually having a go, this can be a nice little earner. But PLEASE do your research first before jumping straight into it. There are lots of forums to help you learn more, here is a helpful site The Money Shed.
25 Cash for old gold – Do you have any old gold, or odd earrings stuck at the bottom of your jewellery box? Then why not cash them in?
I hope this has been helpful, happy money making!
Liked this post? Then why not pin for later?

Lots of great ideas there. I’ve looked at Matched Betting but decided it was not for me -maybe if I had got in when it was just getting popular I might have given it a go.

Dog Walking – This a time bomb as my wife is a qualifind kennel manager saysyou must have personal liability insurance as it you that is libal and not the pet owner if the animal bites or causes a accident.
