This year I have plenty to cross off on my to do list around the home.
First being our bedroom. At the moment we have a nautical theme, but it still remains unfinished as I’ve not always been 100% happy with it, so it has taken a back seat on the job list up until now.
I have been looking through lots of magazines and browsing the internet to get some inspiration on how I would like it to be and I have now decided on a scandi design. I like the simplicity of this kind of room as it looks nice and airy.
Using white furniture and subtle tones of grey from the accessories, i’m hoping it will look quite nice. I already have the wardrobes and chest of drawers as these were recently purchased.
I’m a sucker for cushions so I have added a few of these to the wish list.
I will probably keep the white/grey colour scheme for the bedding with a nice chunky grey throw to decorate.
We have a feature wall in the room at the moment with a mural of the sea on. (It looked ok at the time) but I will be changing this to a white wood effect wallpaper for the new feature wall.
And last but not least some nice string lights to finish the look off. I love the nice glow that these lights give off, ideal for when your chilling out watching tv in bed, as they are not in your face.

Great choices…I really like that wardrobe and the lights 😀
Looks lovely! It’s always nice to have a change. Unfortunately I don’t think our room will be done this year – have to do the kiddies room first!lol
White and grey is a fab combination for a bedroom, nice and relaxing too. Love the orla kierly patterned cushion, gorgeous. #mmbc
