Ingredients

  • 150 g Plain flour
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Dried Thyme
  • 1 tsp Dried basil
  • 2 tbsp Paprika
  • ½ tsp Dried oregano
  • 1 tsp Celery salt
  • 1 tbsp Garlic salt
  • 1 tsp Ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp English mustard powder
  • 1 tbsp White pepper
  • 1 tsp Mixed spice
  • Frylight or spray oil for frying

Equipment

  • Air Fryer

Method

  1. Put the flour, herbs, and spices into a large mixing bowl and mix well.
  2. Cut the chicken into desired pieces.
  3. Dip the chicken into a bowl of cold water, then roll it in the flour mix until well covered.
  4. Shake off the excess flour and place it on a plate, repeat until all of the chicken is coated.
  5. Preheat your air fryer to 200 degrees.
  6. Divide your chicken into batches, allow only one layer of chicken in the basket at a time. If there is more than one batch, preheat your oven to 150 degrees to keep the chicken warm while the next batch is cooking.
  7. Spray the chicken on both sides with spray oil or frylight then place in the basket.
  8. Air fry for 5-6 minutes on each side depending on the size of your pieces.
  9. Serve immediately however you like. On a burger or sub roll, in a wrap with salad or just on a plate with fries, beans and coleslaw?
