  • 2 bay leaves
  • 4 curry leaves
  • 1 tsp crushed garlic
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • ½ tsp ground cloves
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • ½ tsp chilli powder
  • ½ tsp ground coriander
  • 1 tsp ground cumin

Method

  1. Heat a couple of tablespoons of oil in a large frying pan, along with the bay leaves, cloves and cinnamon.

  4. Add the remaining spices to the frying pan, stir and fry for a further 5-6 minutes.
  5. Add the water and frozen peas and return to the boil.
  6. Allow the curry to simmer away for 5-10 minutes, until the sauce has thickened.
