The Top 7 Tag

Here we are in 2019, how did that come around so fast? And the thought of turning 40 at the end of this year leaves me feeling traumatised! Haha. I have been tagged by the lovely Laura from Tired Mummy Of Two to take part in the Top 7 Tag. This is where we share 7 blog posts, 7 things that we have loved back in 2018 and 7 things we are looking forward to this year. So here we go!…..

My 7 Favourite Blog Posts From Last Year

Our Break Away With Classic Cottages was absolutely amazing. We got to stay in a beautiful cottage in Devon and we had the best time. We visited some fab places nearby whilst there.
4 Years On – Our Heart Transplant Life was a post I wrote celebrating my husband’s 4th-year post-transplant. It is a special time each year where we, as a family, take the time to remember how lucky we are to have each other.
Meeting Community Organisations Via Aviva Community Fund was great. We were so happy to have met the lovely people at House Of Bread. They are a local organisation who help the vulnerable and homeless. The work which they do for others is fantastic.

Our Bathroom Renovation Project With BathandShower.com was awesome! When we moved into our cottage the bathroom was so vile. I hated everything about it. So we partnered up with BathandShower.com and now I really look forward to a nice soak in the bath.A bathroom suite for a small bathroom. Bathroom ideas
Learning To Crochet – My First Makes. One of my goals last year was to learn to crochet and I did it! I am so glad that I did as I love making new things and have crocheted quite a few pieces for family members since.
The Donkey Sanctuary Sidmouth was where we spent a lovely afternoon whilst staying in Devon. The boys loved getting up close to the donkeys and giving them a fuss.
Fun Activities For Kids This Summer was such a fun post to do. I can’t wait for the weather to pick up so we can do it all over again!

7 Things I Loved Last Year

1 The fab family holidays that we had.

2 Having a good year with work and making a steady income being self-employed. I feel so lucky to be able to work with the most amazing brands and hope to have many more collaborations this year.

3 How far our boys have come with their homeschooling journeys. I am hoping to document more about this on the blog this year.

4 Crocheting! I have wanted to learn to crochet for ages and finally got to it. I am a little obsessed with making things now.

5 Making a start on the decorating. We have been in our house over 12 months now and when we moved in, it needed a lot of work doing. We did the bathroom, living room and our bedroom last year.

6 Growing my hair! It’s been ages since I had long hair after always having pixie cuts. My hair is now way past my shoulders and I’m really liking it long.

7 There was an improvement in my x-rays so my pulmonary sarcoidosis had a break from being a bitch.

7 Things To Look Forward To This Year

1 Our trip to Jersey. We have wanted to go there for quite some time now, so to be going this year will be absolutely awesome.

2 Attending the blogging conference BlogOn run by Laura.

3 A Road trip to Scotland

4 Discovering new places with The National Trust

5 Fitting into my old jeans again!

6 Maybe getting a furry addition to the family.

7 Carrying on with my journalism course.

This made me like you even more as if that were possible. Love how you celebrate the good stuff no matter what life throws your way. Want to replicate your crochet success this year and must get a crochet hook as a starter! Travel is always fun and you know I empathise on the home-schooling front. Oh and you have made me want to adopt a donkey too! #MMBC
