Clementoni Mind Designer Robot Review

Clementoni Mind Designer Robot Review

I think learning through play is one of the best ways you can educate a child. We homeschool and are big believers that learning should be fun. We have recently been trying out the Clemontoni Mind Designer Robot and it has already seen my eldest using mathematics, science and geography all through play!

The mind designer robot is really quite awesome. He is designed to introduce little ones to coding in a fun way. You can program him to move around, play games and draw!
There are 3 different modes – Free, EDU and APP.

Free Play Mode

Free mode is so much fun as you can control MIND with the buttons on his back. With a little instruction, he will draw geometric shapes. There are up to 40 different sequences that can be used. Free mode is the best way to get accustomed to MIND before moving onto the slightly trickier modes.

One of Jayden’s favourite features on FREE mode is voice recognition. With a press of a button, you can use your voice to instruct MIND to draw, using the easy to follow voice commands. I like that you see results instantly with little effort. This ensures that Jayden will not get bored or feel like he can’t do it properly.

Educational Mode

Once you are in Educational mode you can play along with MIND by answering maths questions, solving puzzles and much more. He will set various challenges which you can complete by inputting the correct sequences. The board has a blue and yellow side both with different games.
Voice recognition can also be used in this mode.

APP Mode

You need a tablet for this mode and you will also need to download the MIND designer app. This is available on IOS, Android and Amazon Fire. The App mode opens up much more opportunities to get the best from MIND. Once we get used to the other modes I am sure Jayden will enjoy discovering further ways to learn with MIND.
The Clementoni Mind Designer Robot is a fab way for kids to experiment with coding and get to grips educational robotics easily and intuitively. It certainly gets a big thumbs up from us!
