Time4Sleep Vancouver Cabin Bed Review

Time4Sleep Vancouver Cabin Bed Review

We have seen our boys make so many transitions through their childhood. From weening, toilet training, a cot to cot bed, junior beds and so on. Jayden has had a racing car bed for quite a while now, but he is growing like he has fertiliser in his shoes! So when we were kindly sent a wonderful new single Vancouver Cabin Bed from Time4Sleep, Jayden had never looked forward to bedtime as he did on delivery day!

The bed was supplied extremely well packaged in 3 separate boxes. Two boxes contained the bed and the third contained all of the components for the storage unit. You will need two people for carrying the boxes and it helps to have a second pair of hands for assembly too.

We put the storage unit together first, then built the bed above it. The storage unit does not attach to the bed, it just positions underneath. The only tools required were a cross-head screwdriver and a soft mallet (for knocking the dowels into position) The fittings are of really high quality and unlike some flat pack furniture, all of the boards are really sturdy and heavy. This gives the impression that the bed will definitely stand the test of time.

The two ends attach simply to the bed rails with Allen bolts, and there are plastic covers supplied to cover the bolt holes. The bed laths are all wired together, so you simply screw the first to the rails, then one half way and then the last one.

The storage unit has two cupboard doors with magnetic fasteners. These are an ideal size for books and magazines.

There is also an open cupboard at each end. Perfect for storage and apparently an excellent place for Endermen to hide!

The drawer in the centre of the bed is ideal for keeping bedtime essentials in one place. All of the things that used to get kicked under the bed, now have their own home!

Even the creeper likes it!

I love the sleek lines of this bed. It has a semi-gloss white finish and looks extremely stylish. The storage solution is a real game changer because we all know, you can never have enough storage in a kids bedroom!

Overall I am really impressed with the bed. Ordering was super easy and the delivery was so quick. The delivery was scheduled, and then the delivery drivers called an hour before they arrived to let us know they were on their way. The bed took just under one and a half hours to put together. The instructions were supplied in picture format but were really easy to follow. I am really pleased with our new bed. It looks amazing and really fits in well with our other bedroom furniture. Jayden thinks it’s awesome too, which is always a good thing!

Looks fantastic, what a space saver also. I will love for it to come all assembled.

Our oldest is desperate for a cabin bed but with 3 kids in one bedroom it’s just not possible – she does have a super duper bunk bed though! #MMBC
