5 Reasons To Visit Cheshire

5 Reasons To Visit Cheshire

We love to get out and about as a family. There are so many amazing places to visit here in the UK and today we are teaming up with Laurus Homes and their campaign #ExploringCheshire to share our top picks of places to visit in Cheshire.

1 Chester Zoo

We love visiting the zoo and seeing all of the hard work that goes into the conservation and welfare of the animals. With over 125 acres to explore there is always something to be getting on with. Take a ride on the lazy riverboat whilst taking in the scenery or get the perfect view around the zoo on the zoofari monorail. There are places to eat, a souvenir shop to spend your pennies and much much more!

2 Tegg’s Nose Country Park

This picturesque country park is located close to Macclesfield on the western edge of the Peak District. If you enjoy going for a walk then this is one for you.  Be sure to take your camera along with you to capture the stunning views that the park has to offer.

3 Stockley Farm Birds of Prey Centre

Located in the gorgeous Cheshire countryside on the Arley estate, Stockley farm is home to some of the most beautiful birds of prey. There are plenty of opportunities to get a hands-on falconry encounter during your visit. Food and refreshments are available at the willow barn tea room.

4 Landrover Experience

This is one experience that I would really like to try out! The Landrover experience based in Tarporley can be booked as a –

One-hour taster session to get yourself familiar with the vehicle and the terrain.
Half day session to gain a greater understanding of obstacle handling, vehicle control and assessing different environments.
Full day session to explore more challenging terrains and tackle off-road elements that will help prepare you for real environments.

If you are a thrill seeker then this is definitely worth checking out.

5 Little Moreton Hall

This iconic Tudor manor house is managed by the National Trust. You can take a free guided tour to discover the facts of the manor’s history, explore the small but beautiful gardens, dress up or take a trail. All makes a pleasant day out for all of the family.

It’s a county I don’t know very well but I bet they have some marvellous charity shops with all the wealth and footballers’ wives and girlfriends. Have done Chester Zoo as a child and with my children. Once got locked out of the zoo on a school trip having thought it was fun to climb out and leave my teachers and peers behind. Was not fun not being able to get back in! Lovely to hear more about a beautiful county #MMBC
