I have really been getting into the holiday mood just lately. Seeing friends updates whilst they sit on a beach with nothing more to worry about other than what cocktail to have next. Sounds like total bliss to me! I must say that I am a fan of the Canary Islands, especially Lanzarote. And just across the waters is an ideal family holiday in Fuerteventura just waiting to be booked. We have been browsing online and Fuerteventura is somewhere we would love to visit. So here is my ideal holiday package and things to do whilst there.
There are so many lovely Clickstay Villa’s in Fuerteventura, we really are spoilt for choice! I love going self-catering when on holiday, I feel it gives you more freedom and enables us to have a more relaxed paced break. You don’t have to adhere to hotel breakfast times, or getting out of the way so the cleaners can do their thing. Self-catering just works for us and you get to have a beautiful place like this all to yourself!
This beautiful luxury villa really stood out. We can enjoy a paddle in the private pool by day or a chill out in the jacuzzi by night. The interior has a modern flair and is equipped with everything we could possibly need whilst there. Quite like home from home (minus the swimming pool of course and the weather for that fact!).
Places To Go
This villa is practically a 15-minute walk to the beach so that would be our first port of call. The beaches are sandy and pristine with clear, calm blue waters. A perfect place for us to hang out and do much of nothing bar from play beach games and eat ice-cream!
Having lots of boat excursions going on in Fuerteventura, we could go and do some island hopping. Like catching the boat from Corralejo to Los Lobos Island. The kids would love to see the many seals that dwell there.
We would definitely pop on the ferry whilst there and spend the day in Lanzarote and have a nice walk around the shops and markets.
Oasis Park Zoo
I have read a lot of fab reviews on this park and how they pride themselves on their care, welfare and conservation of all of their animals. My boys would love getting up close and feeding the animals and there are lots of live shows going on throughout the day. It also has it’s own cafe’s and restaurants on site, should we fancy a quick bite to eat.
Off-Road Buggy Tour
I am a little bit of an adrenaline junky when it comes to driving. I am one of those that would buzz at being sat in a rally car flying around the tracks or doing a Land Rover off-road course. so when I found that you can go off-road on a buggy tour, I’m there! This would be a nice activity for me and Craig to do together. Not only do you get to see some beautiful views on the way but you can stop and have a swim in a natural lagoon. Definitely an experience to remember. And if buggies are not your thing then you could always catch a camel!
I think that would be a pretty fun packed holiday. Have you been to Fuerteventura?
