Over the last couple of years, I have started doing a Christmas Eve box for my boys. I really enjoy putting little bits together in their boxes such as –
A couple of sweet treats
A bedtime storybook
My kids have a bedtime story every night so Christmas Eve is no different. They love their bedtime stories and I have come across some lovely books recently that will be perfect for a Christmas Eve box filler, so here they are!
This is a gorgeous little rhyming board book all about Snowdog. Snowdog loves to have fun and play in the snow. This cute little toddlers book is beautifully illustrated. It really is adorable.
The Christmasaurus is all about a little boy called William Trundle and a dinosaur called the Christmasaurus. They meet each other on Christmas Eve and enjoy a magical adventure together. The journey is all about discovering what our heart desires and that the impossible is indeed not all that impossible! We learn about friendships and family, see singing elves, flying reindeer and other fabulous finds. A beautiful enchanting story for Christmas Eve.
This is a beautiful heartwarming story of a cub bear that lives with a little boy. But over time the bear grew and grew and grew! the little boy thought it was time to find somewhere new to live as he was just too big for the house, but Where Bear?
This is a brand new edition of Roald Dahl’s last story.Billy’s mum says he must never go out through the garden gate and explore the dark forest beyond. So, one day, that’s exactly what he does! There he meets the Minpins, tiny tree-dwelling people whose children are the size of matchsticks. They live in fear of the terrible, galloping GRUNCHER.
Have you ever wanted Christmas to be different? Turkey and carols, presents and crackers – they all start to feel a bit…samey. How about a huge exploding mince pie, a pet abominable snowman, or a very helpful partridge in a pear tree? What if Father Christmas went to work at a zoo, or caused chaos in a toy store, or was even arrested for burglary!? These ten stories will have the kids in fits of laughter!
Are you doing a Christmas Eve box this year?
