Sticky Mud and Belly Laughs

An easy popsicle lollipop sticky craft. Fridge magnet craft.

Craft Stick Magnetic Photo Frame

You have got to love washi tape. It can be used in so many ways, I love the stuff! I have had some nice bright neon rolls just waiting to decorate something, so I thought Jayden and I could make some funky photo frames using craft sticks.

Washi Tape Fridge Magnet Frames

What you will need

Craft sticks

Assorted washi tape

Scissors

Glue/Glue gun

Pieces to decorate

Cover all of your sticks with your washi tape.

Secure them together with some extra sticks glued to the back. Ideally with a glue gun. Then put your magnets on the back. I used self adhesive magnetic tape.

We then added our photo. I added another layer using the white adhesive polaroid style frame, but you could just use the photo on it’s own. ย I had some lovely little wooden shapes knocking around in my craft boxes so I used these to decorate. You could use sequins, foam shapes, whatever you fancy really.

One finished washi tape frame! I love how quick these are to make and they look lovely and colourful scattered amongst the kids artwork on the fridge. They would make great keepsakes for relatives too don’t you think?

That is very cool! I remember doing stuff like this with Popsicle sticks when I was a kid but not with magnets. Very interesting:)

This simple idea is so effective. I could see it working as a craft for many different age groups, from young children to slightly older, such as my 9 & 10 year olds. The design choices are endless too, depending on the washi tape you choose. Brilliant!
