DIY Washi Tape Handprints Keepsake

DIY Washi Tape Handprints Keepsake

I love crafts with the kids especially when it involves making a keepsake.

I have been after a nice print for the living room wall as we have just give it a mini makeover, and I didn’t just want any old image just because it fits in with the colour scheme, I wanted something different.

I just simply drew around both of the boys hands onto a piece of card.

Cut them out and then started to stick strips of washi tape to the back. No particular pattern just random and colourful.

I then cut around the edges of the overhanging tape and all done.

I got my frame with three windows from Dunelm for £7.99 and stuck my washi handprints in.

I then printed both of the boys names and ages and stuck those underneath and finally put a photo of them playing together in the end window.

And there you have it, a lovely keepsake that makes a great focal point in the room and didn’t cost the earth.

If you like this or know somebody who would like to have a go then why not Pin it?

Love this – what a brilliant idea. So simple and so effective and I love all the bright colours of the washi tape. Have pinned and might have to give it a try with the girls 🙂
